My name is Tobi, and I am an art and play-based therapist with over a decade of combined experience supporting children in both clinical and school settings. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, grief and loss, identity development (including LGBTQIA+), ADHD and autistic experiences, giftedness and twice-exceptionality, trauma, self-esteem and family challenges. My liberation-oriented and trauma-informed approach honors familial context while respecting each child's, uniqueness through a neuro-affirming lens.

Influenced by my own therapist as a child, who helped me navigate big feelings, disability and school challenges, I understand how important it is to center relationships with curiosity and warmth in every session.  I draw from evidence-based approaches such as somatic practices, play therapy, art therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, eco-therapy, psychoeducation, CBT and DBT to help children, teens and young adults and their families.

I named my practice after Mary Oliver's essay Upstream, drawn to its reflections on nature, interconnectedness and self-discovery. In the space where wonder and presence meet, we deepen our connection to ourselves and one another, allowing the possibility for change to unfold.

In my free time, I enjoy tending to my community P-patch garden, walking along the beach and through the forest, listening to music, dancing, writing poetry, and creating art. I find joy in slowing down, noticing the beauty around me, and finding awe in everyday moments.
